Hello! I'm planning a vacation to stay at Animal Kingdom at the end of August with my 4-year old son. It will be his first time at Disney. Which character breakfast or event do you recommend for us?

Hi Lori!  You will love the Animal Kingdom Lodge and your son will be so excited to see animals right outside of his bedroom window!  You will definitely feel like you are on safari in Africa but with all the comforts of home!

One of my favorite character breakfasts for my grandsons is at Tusker House in the Animal Kingdom park.  Not only is the food good but the layout is very easy to get around and one of the best places to see Donald Duck.  Make your breakfast reservation as early as you can and then enjoy some of the great attractions in this park before heading back to your resort to regroup.

Tied for favorite in the character breakfast category is Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary resort.  Again the dining buffet is outstanding and this is the place to see all of the main Disney characters: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and Pluto.

You would love either one but both are necessary reservation priorities when planning your dining.  If you want something close then stay with the Tusker House breakfast.  Chef Mickey's is also a character dinner so if you are spending a day at the Magic Kingdom this might be a wonderful place to go for dinner that night.

    Enjoy your trip!
