Hi! I’m planning my vacation and have a few questions about After Hours. Are there any events in August? How does it work for Disney Resort guests? Also, if I have a 4-day park ticket, can I use one day for After Hours or do I need a separate ticket? Thx

    Hiya Renata,

Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your Disney After Hours question. My daughter and I had the chance to attend an After Hours event at Hollywood Studios last year, and let me tell you, it felt like we had a little bit of pixie dust sprinkled just for us. The park was practically empty, and we met some rare characters like Thumper, Geppetto, and even Bert from Mary Poppins. We were able to hop on so many attractions with incredibly low wait times.  And we happily snacked our way around the park all night long. It was such a core memory for us.

Now let’s jump right into your questions about the upcoming After Hours events. You’ll be happy to know that there are events scheduled at both Hollywood Studios and EPCOT in August. Hollywood Studios will host After Hours on August 5, 12, 19, and 26, while EPCOT will host events on August 6 and 13. The events typically run from 9:30 PM to 12:30 AM, unless otherwise noted, and schedules are always subject to change.

If you’re staying at a Disney Resort hotel, transportation is available to and from the events. When my daughter and I attended, we were staying at the Contemporary. We were able to hop on a complimentary bus to and from Hollywood Studios, which made the evening feel even more carefree.

It’s important to know that Disney After Hours is a separately ticketed event and is not included with your standard theme park admission. Tickets are subject to availability, and one of the biggest perks is that crowds are much lower than during regular park hours. While attractions, entertainment, and experiences can change without notice, many popular rides remain open, and the atmosphere feels wonderfully relaxed.

Another great perk is that your event ticket allows you to enter the park as early as 7:00 PM, giving you a head start before the official event begins. And once the event starts, you can enjoy select snacks, such as ice cream treats, popcorn, and bottled beverages, which are included with your ticket.

Renata, I hope this helps answer your question and gives you a little glimpse into how special these events can be. If you have any additional questions, feel free to come back and visit us again.

    See ya real soon,
