I’m planning a vacation for Disneyland in April but I see there is a $200 deposit, if I don’t cancel my trip does it go towards my remaining balance?

    Hi Gladis!

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for reaching out to us hEAR for assistance in planning your upcoming Disneyland Resort vacation. I'm happy to be your planEAR today!

Gladis I am very happy to say that yes, when you book a Disneyland Resort Hotel Vacation Package (or a Disneyland Resort Good Neighbor Hotel Vacation Package) the $200 deposit that is due at the time of booking does indeed go towards your overall balance. If you decide to cancel your vacation, that $200 is refundable if you cancel at least 30 days before check-in. I do want to point out that the balance of your vacation package is due 30 days before check-in, which for your desired Disney dates is this week. If you cancel your trip between 30 to 5 days before you arrive, you'll be refunded everything previously paid minus the $200 deposit. The vacation package becomes non-refundable starting 4 days before check-in.

Gladis I also want to make sure that you've hEARd about needing to make Park Pass Reservations in addition to all of the other dates you have to decide on. Park Pass Reservations basically notate which theme park you plan to visit on which day; if you decide to get Park Hopper Tickets this will determine which park you start your day in. (You're then allowed to hop between the two theme parks at 1:00 P.M.) Guests who stay at a Disneyland Resort Hotel will have access to a separate pool of Park Pass Reservations, but it's best to book these as soon as you can as spring dates have been filling quickly.

I hope that this helped to clEAR your question up, Gladis! Thank you again so much for reaching out to us. Be sure to follow the official planDisney Instagram account for even more tips and tricks. And if you have any more Disneyland Resort vacation planning questions, We're All Ears!
