I'm planning a trip for over a year out but trying to budget food. Are meal/snack credits of the dining plans based on hotel nights or days you have park tickets? E.G: staying 8 days @hotel but only 6 days of parks, how many credits would be given?

    Hi Katie!

The Disney Dining Plan can be a little confusing, but I'm here to help!

The Disney Dining Plans are based on your length of stay and how many nights you have booked.  You said you are staying for 8 days, so I'm assuming that is 7 nights.  If you have the regular Disney Dining Plan, you'll get 1 Table-Service entitlement, 1 Quick-Service entitlement and 2 Snack entitlements per night of your stay.  For a 7 night stay, that is a total of 7 Table-Service entitlements, 7 Quick-Service entitlements and 14 Snack entitlements per person.  These entitlements can be used any way you'd like, meaning you don't have to stick to using 1 Quick-Service, 1 Table-Service and 2 Snacks per day.

We often have Snack entitlements left at the end of our trip.  My favorite place to redeem those entitlements is Goofy's Candy Company in Disney Springs.  They have tons of packaged treats you can get to take home with you or pick up some fresh fudge, cupcakes, cake pops or create your own Mickey gingerbread man or Mickey rice krispie treat.

I highly suggest making dining reservations for any Table-Service restaurant you're considering.  Dining reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance.

Stop back by if you have any additional questions or if you'd like restaurant recommendation for your stay.

    Have a magical day!
