Hi Moms! I'm planning a trip to WDW in July 2010 with my DH, DS(13) and DD(10). If you could stay at any value or moderate resort, which resort would you choose? What are your favorite value and moderate resorts? I can't seem to choose. Help!

    Hi Lauren!

I like the Pop Century Resort best among the Value Resorts, with the All Star Movies being a close second. What I like about the Pop Century is the color theme throughout the resort and room is easy on the eyes compared to some of the other Value resorts. I've stayed at the Pop Century and some other Value resorts, and though they offer the same amenities and are very similar, it really comes down to which theme you like best.

For the Moderate resorts, there are more factors to look at. All the moderate resorts have pools with slides. Strictly looking at the resort rooms as my basis for choosing, I would suggest Coronado Springs Resort. If you make a request for a recently refurbished room (and assuming the request is granted), you'll find that the rooms have a more "deluxe" feel to them.  There are also queen beds rather than double beds. The only small down side to this resort room compared to other moderate resorts is the fact that it only has one sink and not double sinks.
A close second for a moderate choice would be the Port Orleans resorts. There are boat rides to Downtown Disney which is nice if you aren't driving, and better than having to look for parking if you are.

Those are my thoughts, and I hope they help you in your planning! Come back to the Moms Panel if you need any more help.

     Have a magical vacation!
