I'm planning a trip to WDW for 2017 for 6 adults (3 couples). When checking accommodation out online for 6 adults it only gives us the option of the huge family villas/suites. Do WDW offer adjoining/nearby 2 person rooms?

    Hi Lucy,

You sound like you are planning a fabulous vacation!  The Walt Disney World Resort hotels do not guarantee adjoining or connecting rooms but will do their best to accommodate your room requests.  When making room requests it is important that you understand the difference between these two terms used to describe the rooms at Walt Disney World Resort hotels.  Adjoining rooms denotes rooms which are side-by-side and connecting rooms means there is an internal door connecting the rooms.  If the couples in your party simply wish to be near each other I recommend requesting adjoining rooms since there are far more adjoining rooms than there are connecting ones.  It is also important that you all book the same type of room classification so that placing your rooms close together is a possibility.

When making your reservations you should have your room requests noted at the time of booking your reservation.  I often book 2 rooms to accommodate my husband and 4 children and we especially wish to have connecting rooms.  Therefore personally I also follow up with a phone call directly to the Resort hotel and speak to the "room assignor" about my room request between 4-10 days prior to my check-in.

I hope this information helps you with your vacation planning Lucy.  If you have more questions about your Disney Resort hotel options please write back to us here or call the phone number listed in this link for Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and speak to a Cast Member.
