I'm planning a trip to Walt Disney World at the end of February/beginning of March. Do you think it will be warm enough to spend 1 day at a water park?

Hello Ashley!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Adding a Splash to your Walt Disney World Resort Vacation by visiting Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park or Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is an excellent way to add more Endless Magic to your vacation.

In your inquiry you have chosen what I believe are the 2 hardest months to predict the weather for at Walt Disney World Resort.  If you had said December or January, I would have strongly advised caution, as the temperatures can be downright frigid. Even February is a month that I would say runs the risk of being colder than average.

March is a weird month for gauging suitable Disney Water Park temperatures. When I visited in the middle of March in 2015 the temperature never dipped below 85 degrees Fahrenheit and we had an amazing visit at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park. The week after we left, the temperatures were averaging between 65 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit and made chilly experiences for Water Park Guests.

If you are flexible in your planning, I would recommend that you schedule a day during your vacation that you plan to visit a Disney Water Park and watch the forecast for said day as you near your visit. If the forecast calls for unseasonable warmer temperatures for late February and March, continue with your plans and take the plunge.

If not, I recommend an activity more suited to the weather activity, such as a visit to Disney Springs or a round at Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf.

    Good luck with the weather!
