I’m planning a trip to Southern California the first week of May. What will it cost me For a one day park hopper ticket? Does the best price for the ticket depend on what day I go?

Hello there, Stuart! Welcome to planDisney. We are so glad you stopped by to ask us your planning question.

You've picked a wonderful time to visit southern California. The sun has been shining and the flowers are blooming! I really hope that you can make Disneyland Resort a stop on your trip. One-day tickets are tier-based, so it does depend on which day you want to go. It looks like for May, the best price for a one-day ticket is going to be midweek on Tuesday or Wednesday. If you head to the Disneyland website, you can easily check the ticket prices for any day over the next few months. Simply start by choosing a standard ticket, select the number of days you want to visit, and click on the Park Hopper ticket type. This will take you to the calendar to show you the pricing for any day for the next few months. Once you've selected your date, you will then decide what park you want to start your day in and complete your purchase. Currently, you can start park hopping at 11:00 a.m. at Disneyland Resort.

Should your plans change, you can go back into your account and modify for another same price day or cancel your reservation for your ticket to use at a later date. There's also an option to upgrade your ticket to another tier if needed by heading to the "My Disneyland" tab and clicking on "Change Your Theme Park Tickets".

Stuart, thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful visit to The Happiest Place on Earth!

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
