Hi Tiffany,
Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel. It's great that you're planning your trip to Walt Disney World Resort and thinking about how to go about it.
I've booked many Walt Disney World Vacations both online and over the phone. In my experience, I don't feel one approach is a "better" approach. It's really more of a personal choice. If you do choose the online approach, know that there is an
online chat feature available from 7 a.m. - 11 p.m. Eastern Time that lets you connect with a Cast Member in real time so you can ask questions. I always find the Walt Disney World Resort Cast Members — both on the phone and online — to be helpful and friendly and knowledgeable.
A
Disney Dining Plan can be a great and worthwhile addition to your vacation planning. You'll want to explore the plan options and what they offer and consider which plan best fits your vacationing dining style. For example, if you prefer to enjoy 3 meals a day as either a sit-down dining experience or full counter service, then the
Disney Deluxe Dining Plan is a great way to accommodate that preference. If you're more of a quick counter service and snack type of park goer, than the
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan is likely a better fit for you.
If you're a guest at one of the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels, your mother-in-law can visit you at the resort. I would encourage you to call Walt Disney Resort vacation planing at at (407) 939-5277 and talk through the details of your plan to discuss the best choices and options for theme park tickets.
Enjoy your Disney!
Jerry
