I'm planning a trip for my son's 5th bday, and I'm trying to find hotel that will be the most "wow" for him. I'm leaning towards Animal Kingdom, but I'm also considering Wilderness Lodge, Contemporary, and Port Orleans Riverside. What are your su

    Hi Natalie,

Walt Disney World Resort is a great place to celebrate a special occasion like your Pirate's 5th birthday!!  I may be a little biased as this is my favorite resort, but Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge would be a great place to celebrate your special occasion.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is an African lodge resort with a wildlife preserve.  It's like you are at a Lodge in South Africa.  There is an Animal Program that is unique to the Lodge which will offer an up close encounter with exotic animals.  Be sure to check the front desk for a current schedule.  Also, the pool is amazing here and there are always some type of Pool side activity for the younger Guests.  Be sure to check out the Savannah view rooms here.  It is simply breath taking.

I hope you have an amazing vacation and be sure to tell the little Pirate "Happy Birthday Mate"!!

    Have a magical day!
