Hi there, Melanie! Welcome to planDisney and I am so delighted to have received your question! We love helping our fellow Guests get ready for their magical adventures to Disneyland Resort, so thanks for giving us the opportunity to connect with you today! It sounds like you're a planner at heart, so you've come to the right place.
How wonderful to spend time with your son in 'The Happiest Place on Earth!' That is such a gift, and I know you will both remember it for a lifetime! It sounds like you are aware that currently, standard
theme park tickets and park reservations may be made up to 180 days in advance of your visit. So, the window for park reservations will open for your September dates in March 2025. In my personal experience, I have never had any issues securing the dates I wanted to reserve when making plans right at the 180-day mark, and even in the weeks after. I typically see the very popular holiday and school break dates are those that sell out, but I think that if you plan to make your ticket purchase and theme park reservations with enough advance notice, you'll be just fine! I hope this is some helpful reassurance, Melanie.
If you are interested in booking a
Vacation Package, which includes a stay in one of the three
Disneyland Resort Hotels or a
Good Neighbor Hotel and multi-day tickets, you can make this reservation for any visit dates in 2025. Once your
hotel reservation is linked to your account, you'll be able to secure your park reservations for your dates at the 180-day mark. Then, about 4 days prior to your visit, you will receive a Travel ePackage that contains your theme park tickets, travel itinerary, and voucher for any magical extras included in your Vacation Package. This is a really nice way to have everything secured in one single transaction! Plus, you have the flexibility to reserve your Vacation Package with an initial deposit and then return to
make online payments on the schedule that works for you, until the final balance is due 30 days prior to your arrival.
I hope these suggestions offer you some helpful options, Melanie. If we can assist with anything else in the meantime, please reach out to
planDisney again soon. We'd love to help you continue planning your upcoming Disneyland Resort vacation!
Magic awaits,
Tishra
