I'm planning a trip to San Diego in either May or July and am hoping to come to Disneylandfor one day. How doable is it to do a one day park hopper in either may or July (weekday) and be able to enjoy some of the most popular rides?

    Hi, Kellie!

I think a day trip to the Happiest Place on Earth is a great idea! Pixar Fest, a limited-time event at the Disneyland Resort, is scheduled to begin in April and will include the debut of the new “Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular” fireworks show. There will be no shortage of amazing entertainment options during your visit!

I think you’ll be able to get quite a bit accomplished if you can arrive early and stay late. With the help of Disney FASTPASS service, you should have lots of opportunities to experience your must-dos. I recommend that you check out the theme park attractions list online. Pick the attractions you want to make your highest priority so you can decide which theme park to visit first.

I also suggest that you look into Disney MaxPass to help save time in line at popular attractions and make the most of your day in the parks. It enables you to make Disney FASTPASS selections from your mobile device with the Disneyland app. You can plan to enter a park as soon as it opens to get in line for a popular attraction, while at the same time reserving a FASTPASS for your next attraction, even if it’s in the other park! Also, some attractions offer a Single Rider option which will reduce wait times and help you squeeze in more fun. Splash Mountain, Matterhorn Bobsleds and Radiator Springs Racers are a few choices. You'll be able to fill a remaining seat that isn’t occupied by Guests utilizing Disney FASTPASS or stand-by lines.

I hope this helps, Kellie, and that you’re able to enjoy a day packed with pixie dust! Please visit us with any other questions you may have.

    Wishing you magic,
