I'm planning a trip to the PHM for a group of 10 girl friends. We would like a nice dinner for Sunday to celebrate. Disney is the best with dietary needs, but our group includes gluten free and vegan. Any suggestions in/near the magic kingdom? Thanks!

    Hi, Marechal!

I can't think of a better way to spend a girls' weekend than to participate in the Disney Princess Half Marathon - it's the perfect combination of friends, fun and fitness in the most magical setting on earth. I also think a celebratory dinner is the perfect way to commemorate becoming bonafide Disney Princesses. Here are my suggestions for dining near the Magic Kingdom that will also meet the needs of those with dietary concerns.

    • Be Our Guest Restaurant - Dine in the heart of Magic Kingdom inside Beast's Castle and dine on fare that meets the needs of your group. For the guest needing vegan options, I suggest the Layered Ratatouille.

    • California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort - See the best view on property 16 stories high above the Magic Kingdom and dine on some of the best culinary options on property - even for dietary requests.

    • 1900 Park Fare at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa - Have fun with your friends by enjoying a character dining experience that includes Prince Charming and Cinderella's Step Sisters. This option is a buffet and the chef will walk those with restrictions around and personally point out what their options are.

Here are a few additional tips to make this a royal meal for everyone:

    • When you book your Advanced Dining Reservation be sure to notate on the reservation any food allergies and restrictions.

    • The Chef should make an appearance at your table to discuss available options, but give your server a friendly reminder when you are seated.

    • You can also email the special diets department at SpecialDiets@DisneyWorld.com

I hope this helps get you started, Marechal! Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any additional questions you may have. I am here to help you plan an enchanted race-cation.
