Hey there, hi there, ho there, Nellie! Thanks for pulling up a chair to the planDisney table with your question about
Disney dining plans! We're always happy to find the answers Guests are hungering for, so let's dig right into your question!
Nellie, when you add a Disney dining plan to your vacation package, all Guests included in the reservation must select the same dining plan option; there is not a way for some guests to select the
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan while others select the
Disney Dining Plan. What I would suggest is talking with those on your reservation and deciding what table-service meals your entire party will want to experience and then comparing the two options to see which one would be the best value and choice for your party overall.
Keep in mind that with both dining plan options, each guest on the reservation will receive a Resort-refillable mug for the length of your stay, one snack credit per night of your reservation, and one quick-service meal credit per night of your visit. The major difference is in the second meal credit, which would be a second quick-service option for the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan or a table-service option for the Disney Dining Plan.
With either option, you'll be able to track your meals and snacks in the
My Disney Experience mobile app and take advantage of
Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering for your quick-service meals and some snacks as well! This is one of my favorite features of the app because it saves us time from standing in line for food orders! Since you'll be visiting during the holiday season, definitely keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for announcements about special seasonal snacks that might bring a little extra joy to your world as you cash in on those dining plan snacks!
Nellie, if you do opt for the Disney Dining Plan, there are some excellent table-service dining options throughout the parks and resorts! Some of my favorites are
'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and
Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano at Disney's Hollywood Studios! I also can't get enough of the
Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue over at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort! You can ask any of my planDisney pals, they'll tell you it's my trademark dining favorite!
I hope this is helpful and I hope whatever dining plan you choose, you enjoy some magical memories and meals with your vacation pals while celebrating the Most Wonderful Time of the Year at the Most Magical Place on Earth! There's truly nothing better than the holiday season at the Walt Disney World Resort!
Bon Appetit,
Alison
