Welcome to planDisney, Callista!
As Ursula slyly reminds us, “Life’s full of tough choices, isn’t it?” And occasionally, that includes the heartbreaking decision to call off a long-awaited Disney getaway.
Currently, Walt Disney World allows Guests to
cancel a vacation package for a full refund if it’s done at least 30 days prior to arrival. Should you need to cancel between 2 and 29 days before your trip, you’ll still get a refund, but a $200 fee per room will be deducted. Unfortunately, cancellations made just one day before your arrival (or if you don’t show up) are non-refundable. Be aware that bookings made through third parties or special promotions may come with different policies or additional fees.
To cancel a vacation package, you’ll need to speak directly with
Disney’s Resort Hotel Reservation team—this can’t be done online. A Cast Member will guide you through the process and help explore any options available.
Depending on your reservation type, you might be able to make changes to your hotel or vacation package online. Just log in to your
My Disney Experience account, navigate to My Reservations, and look for the “Modify Reservation” link. If online changes aren’t available for your reservation, give Disney a call for assistance.
I hope that's informative, Callista. Thanks for choosing to be our Guest. Happy planning!
Mike
