I'm planning a trip to MK/AK with my 3 yo son, too big/old for stroller. We're staying with family an hour away but I'm worried about nap time. Is there a nap place in the parks for kids of families not staying at the resort?

Hi Lindsey! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I loved taking my kids to the Walt Disney World Resort when they were entering that Preschool phase! They look at things with such amazement and wonder, I always felt as if I could see the magic in their eyes!

In my opinion you should absolutely bring a stroller for your son. It is very easy to underestimate the amount of walking that you will do during your visit. The Theme Parks are a lot bigger than they appear to be on a map and that mixed with all of the excitement does seem to take a toll on even those kiddos with a whole lot of energy like my son! My five year old son still likes to rest in a stroller from time to time in the parks and I swear this kid runs circles around most. We always bring at least an umbrella stroller with us to make the day a bit easier. Strollers are also available to rent at the Theme Parks. There are not any “designated” nap areas in the actual parks. I have seen people napping on benches and sometimes even in the lawn at Magic Kingdom. If you bring a stroller it will be a place for your son to relax and hopefully catch a little snooze!

I hope that you have an Unforgettable time!
