Hi! I’m planning my trip for March 9th-13th. Do you think the park will be very crowded because of the wine & food festivities? I’m hoping not because it’s in the middle of the week but just checking.

    Hello Melissa!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I see someone is heading back for some fun at the Happiest Place on Earth!

It's impossible to predict the crowds at the Disneyland Resort but I think you’re on the right track. Spring Break peak season this year should run from about March 15th through April 19th 2020. If you could go the week of March 2nd to March 6th that would be my best bet for better crowds. Most schools have spring break the week before or the week after Easter. Those two weeks should be avoided if you’re trying to avoid a busier time during this time of the year. I think March 9th-13th should be a good week to go because it’s before the Spring Break peak season. You have the right idea of going Monday through Friday as the weekends do tend to be busier. Whenever I plan an extended stay at the Disneyland Resort, we always go from Sunday to Thursday. I have been to the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World two to three weeks before Easter and the crowds are much much better than when we’ve gone the week before or the week after Easter.

PRO TIP: No matter how busy a day at the parks will be, the combination of rope dropping every day of your trip and using Disney MaxPass, will allow you to get so much done at the beginning of the day.

While you’re there I encourage you to stop by the 2020 California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. It’s one of my favorite festivals of the year and I’m really hoping they bring back the Ghost Pepper Mac N Cheese this year! Also during your stay, the new parade “Magic Happens” will be making its way down Main Street U.S.A. Mickey will lead the way followed by his pals from all of your favorite stories. You won’t want to miss any of the fun!

Well Melissa, I’m sending all of the Pixie Dust your way so that you can enjoy all of the attractions and entertainment you have plans for.

Remember, always believe in the magic!
