I'm planning a trip for last week of April /1st week of May (family of 6 - ages 9, 6, 3, 10 mos). We're trying to decide between Pop Century and Port Orleans French Quarter. Are school trips a problem at either - noise, crowds, bus availability, etc?

Generally, the school groups, stay at the Value Resorts.

Port Orleans is relatively quiet, the pool at the French Quarter is one of my kids favorites with the slide that goes down the tongue of Scales.  Who's Scales? Oh, well Scales is the name of the giant parade serpent.  It sounds worse that it looks.  The other plus is the kiddie pool has Mardi Gras Gators that squirt water from their clarinet, and saxophone, and have umbrellas that shower water.  You can also use the pool over at Riverside as well.  There are some great walking trails and a butterfly garden.  The buses run every 20 minutes, or at least they are supposed to arrive or depart in that period of time.  If you should decide to stay at Port Orleans French Quarter, ask to stay in building 2 or 5.  They are the closest to everything.
