I’m planning a trip for June and I was wondering if Disney still sends out welcome packets in the mail before I arrive?

Hello Mike and welcome back to planDisney!

From one Michigan resident to another, a trip to the magic will be a great break from the long winter we have had!  My daughter and her family just booked a trip for the exact time frame that you are visiting in June!  It must be that spring fever has hit us all!

I spoke to a friendly Cast Member who says that welcome packages are sent to Guests who purchase a Walt Disney World Vacation Package. This includes a Disney Resort hotel and theme park tickets. You will receive a package that includes luggage tags and any coupon vouchers that you will need.

Packages that are booked through a travel agent, booked on short notice, or as a room-only reservation are not going to receive a welcome packet in the mail.

If you are going to receive one, it should ship about two weeks before your arrival date. If for some reason you do not receive the packet in the mail before your trip, you can stop by the front desk of your resort hotel and pick up your welcome package at that time!

Mike, you are visiting Walt Disney World at a great time!  If you are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel during your stay, you can enjoy a water park admission on your check-in day for arrivals from May 26 to September 8, 2026!  After our long, cold winter in Michigan, there would be nothing better than a long soak in the lazy river or a plunge down one of the amazing waterslides at either Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon or Disney’s Blizzard Beach

Mike, as a fellow Michigander, I know your trip will be much needed and memorable!  Make sure you take some time to enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!
