Hi I’m planning a trip in January to stay at the art of animation. It is my family 2 adults and 2 kids and my parents. If we choose the little mermaid rooms is there a way to stay next to each other?

    Hi Michelle!

I'm excited to hear you have a Walt Disney World Resort vacation planned for January! What a fun trip, with three generations enjoying all there is to see and do at The Most Magical Place on Earth.

Walt Disney World Resort offers Guests a lot of amazing hotels to choose from in the Disney Resorts Collection. Disney's Art of Animation Resort is such a great choice - where some of Disney's most beloved animated films come to life right before your eyes. As you walk through the property, larger-than-life icons from The Little MermaidThe Lion KingFinding Nemo, and Disney's Cars greet you along the paths. The Cars section looks like you've stepped right into Radiator Springs! At the center of the resort, you'll find the largest resort pool at Walt Disney World Resort. The Big Blue Pool has a really fun feature: underwater speakers! Guests are able to hear favorite Disney tunes as they swim under the surface.

You can request either adjoining rooms or connecting rooms to keep your party close together at the resort. Adjoining rooms are two rooms that are near each other, and connecting rooms are two rooms with a connecting interior door. You can request either type of room at the time of booking, or ask your travel agent to do so on your behalf if you're using an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. I recommend you make this request before arrival, so you can take advantage of Disney's Online Check-In service. With Online Check-In, you'll be able to begin the check-in process in advance on disneyworld.com or with the My Disney Experience mobile app. Once your resort room is ready, you'll be able to head directly to your room without needing to stop by the Front Desk.

If you've already booked your resort, you can contact the Cast Members at Disney Reservations to add the request to your reservation. You can also reach out via this email form. While there are no guarantees that room requests can be fulfilled, Disney does their best to create the most magical vacations possible for Guests. (If I've made a special room request, I'll usually call the resort a day or two before my arrival to double check that it's noted on my reservation.)

I hope this helps with your planning! Please come back and visit us here at planDisney for tips and advice to add a little extra magic to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
