I'm planning a trip for January 2016 including dining plan. I'd like to do the Aloha Show, but fear cancellation due to temperature. Can I make more ADRs than I have dining credits, then cancel if the Aloha Show isn't cancelled?

    Aloha Melinda!

Congratulations on your upcoming vacation to Walt Disney World!  It will be here before you know it.  Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show is a great choice and one that I enjoy very much.  Although it does not happen frequently, since the show is held in an open-air theatre it may be cancelled due to severe or inclement weather.  Therefore I do think you have a great plan for having "backup" reservations.

You may make as many Advanced Dining Reservations as you like and are not limited to the number of table service dining credits that you have.  Please remember that most Advanced Dining Reservations are made with a credit card to secure them and you must Cancel Your Disney Dining Reservation the day prior or you will incur a fee.  Alternatively you can just keep your "extra" Advanced Dining Reservations and pay out of pocket for the extra meals.  Several times I have made Advanced Dining Reservations for more restaurants than the number of table service dining credits which were allotted to me and simply paid out of pocket for our additional meals.  Here's a tip:  Use your Disney Dining plan credits for your most expensive restaurants and pay out of pocket for your least expensive restaurants.  You can redeem your table service credits in any order, all you need to do is inform your wait staff if you will be paying cash or using the Disney Dining Plan when they wait on your table.

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel Melinda!  Please let us know if you have any further Disney vacation planning questions.  We are always happy to help.

    Blessings,
