I'm planning a trip for my husband, myself and 5 yr old daughter. Is it better to stay at the Beach Club resort or Yacht Club? They seem very similar but the Yacht Club is slightly cheaper. Just not sure if it's worth the extra $ for the Beach Club.

Hey there Kris and congrats on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation.

You really can't go wrong with either of these Deluxe level Walt Disney World Resort Hotels.  Both hotels are very similar in style, but I find the Beach Club to be a little more "laid back" while the Yacht Club feels a little more "formal."  This is evident in the atmosphere, decor, and furniture.  Yacht Club has a very upscale, elegant vibe while Beach Club, although classy, has a more relaxed, "BEACHY" vibe.

The Beach Club's restaurants are more casual and include a Soda Fountain, a Character Dining Experience, and a Counter Service, while Yacht Club is home to an outstanding Signature steak house and upscale lounge area in additional to a nice table service offering.

Both resorts share the same fabulous pool area, Stormalong Bay as well as the same boat dock and marina.  A bonus to Beach Club is that it is closer to the World Showcase Entrance to Epcot which makes it easy to walk back and forth. At Yacht Club, all rooms have balconies, but at Beach Club, they can be requested, but not guaranteed...this is a deciding factor with me, because I really enjoy having the extra space provided by the balcony.

Many folks with younger children seem to prefer the Beach Club because it is more relaxed and vibrant, but I have never had a problem at the Yacht, even with my 4 year old Princess.  I actually enjoy the quiet, laid back atmosphere at the end of a busy day!
