Hi, there!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Stephanie, and congratulations on your newest addition. How very exciting!
You're certainly not a rookie when it comes to visiting the
Walt Disney World Resort with a little one in tow. Traveling with a baby does require a bit more planning (and packing), but your vacation will be just as magical! My infant daughter made her first visit this summer, so I'm happy to tell you what we did to prepare ahead of time. You'll absolutely need a double stroller. I recommend bringing your own or renting a City Mini Double from one of
Disney's Featured Providers. We bring our own because we prefer to have it with us while we're traveling from Pennsylvania to Orlando (and back again!). You may also want to consider bringing an infant carrier to carry your new baby through the theme parks and on attractions. We took a diaper bag into the theme parks each day packed with diapers, wipes, bottled water, empty baby bottles, formula, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, a change of clothes, resealable bags, bottle wash, snacks, and pacifiers (phew!). It was a lot, but I did forget one thing; a changing pad. The Baby Care Centers have disposable paper sheets that can be placed on the changing tables there, but the public restrooms do not, so be sure to pack a changing pad! Rather than have diapers, wipes, and snacks take up space in our luggage, we ordered those items from Garden Grocer and they were conveniently delivered right to our Resort hotel upon our arrival.
Complimentary Pack 'n Plays are available to Guests of Disney Resort hotels, so we didn't take that with us either.
Please let me know if you have any other questions!
