Hi! I'm planning a trip for 5 friends and I. We are all 21-22 (Sr.'s in college). We want to be kids during the day, but would like to go out and experience some of Disney's nightlife after the parks. What would you suggest? What will be unforgettable?

    Hi Molly,

You are a gal after my own heart.  I loved visiting Walt Disney World during my college years too.  It's so nice of you to plan a special get-away for your college friends.

Downtown Disney is the place to go for nightlife at Walt Disney World.  There are more restaurants than you can count here.  If you like dancing, make dinner reservations at Bongo's and then dance the night away to a live band.  My Moms Panel friends and I did this a little over a year ago and it was incredible fun.

Another option would be to grab dinner and see a movie at the newly renovated "fork and dine" movie theater at Downtown Disney.

La Nouba provides fascinating stage shows.  And, of course, there's wonderful shopping at the World of Disney store too.

No trip to Walt Disney World is complete without spending time enjoying the nighttime fireworks displays.  My favorite place to watch Wishes above Cinderella Castle is from the beach at Disney's Polynesian Resort.  Grab a Dole Whip ice cream treat at Captain Cook's before heading out to the beach and then enjoy the Electrical Water Pageant and fireworks from this unparalleled vantage point.

Make sure to squeeze in a viewing of Illuminations at Epcot on another night too.  That show is so inspirational!

Have fun and let us know if you need any additional information as you plan your trip.

    Best wishes,
    Jill
