Hi Jessica!
Congratulations on your upcoming, dual-celebration at Walt Disney World!
With a busy & active little Princess in tow, and a quiet little Prince, a few resorts come to mind, depending on budget and "wish list."
On the Value end, I'd recommend
Disney's newest value resort, Art of Animation, and a Little Mermaid Room. This standard-sized room type opens in September 2012. Should you wish to be able to close a bedroom door for your little guy's naps or bedtime, consider a Finding Nemo or Lion King themed Family Suite.
If a Moderate resort better suits your tastes,
Disney's Port Orleans Riverside is a great choice! This beautiful property meanders along the Sassagoula River. On site you'll find table service dining as well as food court, great recreation and even a water slide. Reserving one of the brand new Royal Guest Rooms would give your Princess a little extra Magic!
At the Deluxe resort level, you're close to the action with great transportation options, multiple dining choices.
Disney's Polynesian is my top pick, hands down! It's my ultimate for convenience and fun for kids of all ages with the amazing Volcano Pool and water slide and recreational activities galore. Choose a garden room and you'll have a quiet retreat to return to for nap times. The monorail to the Magic Kingdom stops outside the lobby and a short walk takes you to the Epcot monorail. Enjoy watching the fireworks and Electrical Water Pageant right from the beach.
These are my top picks for the perfect vacation with a young family.
I hope you'll visit again if you have any more questions as you plan your Magical vacation Jessica!
