I absolutely love traveling to Walt Disney World with all my extended family. There's something extra special about soaking up the magic with the people you love most! While several
Disney Resorts Collection hotels do offer family suites and villas, none of them will accommodate more than 12 guests. This includes the family suites at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort and the 3-Bedroom Grand Villas you'll find at many
Deluxe Villa resorts. I know this wasn't the answer you were hoping for, but not to worry - you won't need a
miracle to keep your family together in Disney World!
Patti, I have several large-group, multigenerational trips under my belt, and I'm happy to share that my royal entourage always has a blast, no matter where we stay! While your family won't all fit in one single room, the good news is you can still stay close and connected during your Disney World adventure.
One suggestion is to book
two 2-bedroom villas at a Deluxe Villa resort. These villas generally sleep about 8 people, so you'd have plenty of room to spread out. For a more budget-friendly alternative, you might consider booking two family suites (which can sleep up to 6) and one regular room at either Art of Animation or
Disney's All-Star Music Resort. Finally, you could also book
three 5th sleeper rooms, since these allow up to 5 guests
plus one infant. You'll find 5th sleeper rooms at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort,
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, and at Deluxe Villa resorts in the form of a Deluxe Studio.
Since you won't all be able to stay in one big
Casita, here's a final tip that I think you might find helpful. I've had some pretty great luck requesting adjoining or connecting rooms for my family during our big-group vacations. While not every resort offers this (and it's never guaranteed), it doesn't hurt to request rooms that are connected, adjoining, or at the very least nearby. You can make this request through the Chat feature in your
My Disney Experience app or by calling the
Ticket & Hotel Reservations Line to speak with a Disney Cast Member.
