I’m planning a trip for my family. One of the adults may be having a job change prior to our trip that would keep him from being able to accompany us on vacation. If I have him on the reservation when I book am I able to remove him from it later?

Hi, Lesly, and welcome! It's a pleasure to have you come by for more information in case plans change for your group.

You can definitely remove one of your family members from your reservation later if plans change! Disney understands that life happens, especially when it comes to job changes and shifting schedules, so modifying your reservation is pretty simple.

If the person isn’t able to join you, you can call Disney Resort Reservations. A Cast Member can update your room reservation without affecting the rest of your plans. Just keep in mind that if you booked a package that includes tickets or dining, any changes might adjust your total balance depending on how many people remain on the reservation.

It’s always best to make changes before your final payment date so there’s plenty of flexibility. If your trip is a room-only reservation, it’s even easier. A Cast Member will simply update the number of guests on your reservation.

So go ahead and include him now to secure your preferred room and rates. If his new job keeps him from joining, Cast Members will help you modify things with no stress. And who knows, maybe he’ll still find a way to sneak in a little pixie-dusted vacation time!
