Hey Rachael. Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. October is such a great month to visit Walt Disney World. The weather is great and all of the Halloween festivities are in full swing. You are going to have such a great time.
I am so glad that Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park is set to open on March 7th this year. I've missed going to the water parks at Walt Disney World so much since the shut down. Walt Disney World has made incredible strides to keep Guests healthy and happy while on vacation and I think they have implemented a great plan at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park. Although things may change before your trip in October, I thought I would mention the
current policies and procedures just announced for the water park. When entering Disney's Blizzard Beach, Guests ages 2 and up will be required to wear a face covering and will be subject to temperature screenings. There will also be capacity limitations to help maintain physical distancing but, as of now, Guests will not need to make Park Pass Reservations. Face coverings will be required when entering and exiting the water park, retail areas and food and beverage ordering areas. Face coverings will not be permitted while in the water or on water slides. Disney also asks that Guests remain stationary while eating and drinking at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park.
I think you'll find it's pretty simple getting to
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park from any of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. Occasionally, you can find a direct bus, but because of everything going on I wouldn't count on it at this time. From any of the theme parks, you'll want to head to the nearest Walt Disney World Resort Hotel and catch a bus over to the water park from there. From Disney's Hollywood Studios, I suggest taking the
friendship boat (right outside the entrance gates) over to the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort which should be the first stop. Once at the resort, head to the bus stop and then you'll be on your way to Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park. If you feel like getting in a few extra steps, there is also a walkway you can take that connects Disney's Hollywood Studios over to the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort and you can catch the bus from there.
I hope this helps get you over to Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, Rachael. If I can help answer any questions you might have before your trip, I'd love for you to
come back and ask me.
Happy planning!
