I'm planning a trip for my family, but don't want to during the hot summer. If we decide to go in the fall, will everything still be up and running? Will we miss anything by going in the fall?

    Hi Nikki,

Welcome to the Moms Panel! Fall is an excellent time to visit Disney World! Temperatures are typically a little lower & depending on when in the fall you visit, crowds levels are typically lower too.

There are some special events that occur in the fall including Night of Joy, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and Festival of the Masters.

Some of the attractions may be closed for refurbishments but they typically don't close a lot of them at once. To see a list of scheduled Operational Updates for each park, click on these links:

    Magic Kingdom
    Epcot
    Disney's Hollywood Studios
    Disney's Animal Kingdom

From there, chose the month you plan to visit from the drop down list beside the View Month tab. That will give you a list of the hours of operation & Extra Magic Hours for each day. To check for scheduled Operational Updates, click on your dates of travel. To the right of the schedule for a particular day, you will see closings if any are currently scheduled.

You can also check on www.allears.net. Search for "Rehabs and Closures". It is an unofficial Disney website but they do an excellent job of giving you the info in one location. You can confirm by clicking on the links on the official Walt Disney World website shown above. Keep in mind that any attraction may close at any time without notice for a number of reasons.

Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
