Hey Howdy Hey Angela and welcome to planDisney!
As a Girldad of three, when we do travel we are a family of five and I can totally understand where you are coming from. It's so hard sometimes to find hotels that have a 5th sleeper and sometimes have to consider reserving two rooms. Hakuna Matata Angela, I've got the scoop on which
Disney Resort Collection accommodations can sleep five, so let's jump in!
You will find your first options for the 5th sleeper available at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and
Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside Resort which are both Moderate Resort category resorts. Virtually all Deluxe Resorts have the 5th sleeper as well. One of the big things you are looking for when shopping around for the rooms is selecting the room that says "5th Sleeper" in their description.
You will also find availability with a family suite option at some resorts. These can be found at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort and
Disney's All-Star Music Resort. These options will have more room and more offerings compared to the others equipped with a 5th sleeper, so make sure to check out the amenities of the room to see which one is right for you.
One tip I have for you when going to the parks with a family of five is making sure to use
Rider Switch on attractions. Inevitably, you might come across most in the family who would want to ride but maybe one that does not. This benefit would allow you to as the greeting Cast Member at the attraction entrance for the Rider Switch benefit. This will allow you to have a few in the party experience the attraction while someone stays with those that do not, when they get done you can switch and experience the attraction with much less of a wait.
Best of luck as you continue to plan your trip for early next year. If you have any further questions please feel free to stop back and let us know, we would be happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Nick
