I’m planning a trip for my family. Is there a coupon available to help with the cost?

    Ahoy Kristy!

We're thrilled to welcome you onboard at planDisney! Here's something to celebrate: so much is already included when setting sail with Disney Cruise Line, from fabulous food, exceptional service, Broadway-caliber shows, and special memory-making moments with beloved Disney characters! So that in and of itself will help with the vacation spending.

You are speaking my language in wanting to stretch your vacation dollars as far as possible. Good news: Captain Mickey will create some Special Offers for Guests from time to time. While there aren’t any at this moment, keep checking to see if one of these discounts might work for you in the future. This may be one of the most economical ways to plan an adventure at sea if you have flexible travel dates.

Another money-saving idea is to book one of the Guaranteed Stateroom Rates (GTY), which means that Guests are guaranteed to be in at least their chosen stateroom category, but could even be at a higher category! The actual stateroom will not be assigned by Disney Cruise Line until later and will be based on availability for all guaranteed staterooms of this type. However, you must be certain of your dates and plan on following through when you make a GTY reservation. First, there can be no changes to the sail date or the stateroom category. Guests must also provide their full legal names at the time of booking, and no name changes are allowed. Finally, keep in mind that the Guaranteed Stateroom rate is non-refundable, and full payment is due at booking. Although there are special conditions, it’s still a genius way to save those Disney dollars towards other components of your cruise, like specialty dining, beverage tastingsspa treatments, and merchandise

My final planDisney tip for now: buy Disney gift cards in the months leading up to a cruise and use those for payments and onboard spending. Did you know you can combine those gift cards onto one card? Once you create an account on the Disney Gift Card website, the cards can all be consolidated onto a single card (up to $ 1000). It really helps to spread out the costs over time and makes it easier to budget for a Disney cruise this way.

Kristy, we'd love it if you would put us in charge of answering more of your cruise vacation questions. WISHing you an amazing voyage with your family!

    SEA ya real soon!
