Hey there, Taryn! You've brought a great question to planDisney and I'd be happy to help! Now that you need a theme park ticket reservation in addition to your ticket can make it hard to make a spontaneous trip to Disneyland Resort.
I will always suggest that Guests purchase their tickets and
make theme park ticket reservations as soon as they can to eliminate any stress of having their day or days be booked full and plans ruined. Currently, theme park ticket reservations can be made 120 days in advance. However, I will say that I am quite surprised to see that currently as I am writing this, all 120 days for both
One Day Per Park and Park Hopper tickets are available for both park options. I'm not sure I've ever seen that and am not quite sure why that is. I also know that things can change in an instant, so even though the calendar looks promising, I still would try to book as soon as you can and keep an eye on the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar.
If you think you have the dates that you are wanting to visit you can always purchase your ticket and make your theme park reservation for that day and then cancel the reservation and rebook for a different day if needed. Ticket sales are final, but you can cancel and rebook your reservation as many times as you need until you find a date that works during the dates that the ticket is valid.
Taryn, I hope you can lock in your dates soon so you can start planning all the exciting details for your visit to The Happiest Place on Earth! See you real soon!
