I'm planning a trip to DisneyWorld in mid December and have a 2 year old and a 14 year old. It will be our first trip and we will be there for about a week. Can you suggest a plan of the parks/rides that would keep both the age gaps interested?

Can I just tell you how much I love a holiday season trip to Walt Disney World? And with children that span an age gap like this (which is how my own are), you can appreciate the magic of Disney through two different sets of eyes.

My plan of attack would be to tell you to focus primarily on your 14 year old.  If yours is anything like my own 14 year old, she is the toughest one in the group to impress, so we like to make sure she has input in everything we plan.

You don't say how many park days you'll have, but assuming you'll do one day at each of the four theme parks, I would check the Disney World Park Hours for morning extra magic hours days, and try to make those the parks that you go to in the mornings.  With a two year old, you are probably up early anyway, and you may need afternoon breaks for naps.  If you arrive either for extra magic hours (usually around 8 A.M.), hit the list of the top attractions for your two year old.  Since you can book FastPass+ times 60 days in advance if you are a resort guest with prepurchased tickets, book your FastPass+ times for the attractions your 14 year old wants to do for late morning - around 10 o'clock.  This gives you a shorter wait time for those attractions and a nice reward for your teen being a good sport all morning doing more little kid or family friendly attractions.

If you want to let me know which parks you'll visit, I can help with a better idea of what should be on your hit list!
