Welcome to planDisney! We're so glad you stopped by with your question, and I'm thrilled to hear that you're considering a stay at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. In my opinion, it is the most luxurious and restful place to stay when visiting the Happiest Place on Earth.
There is a (not so) secret entrance from the Grand Californian directly into Disney California Adventure Park! While it's not restricted only to Guests staying in the hotel, it is often less busy than the main entrance can be in my experience. To access this entrance, you can start in the lobby and follow the signs that point to Disney California Adventure Park.
I love this particular entrance because it is located near
Grizzly Peak, so you therefore can often skip around some of the crowds that can tend to form around Buena Vista Street.
The Grand Californian is also conveniently located close to the Disneyland Park entry gates as well. It usually takes me about 5-7 minutes to walk there from the hotel lobby. Again, just follow the signs!
There are all kinds of nooks and crannies of rest and relaxation to be found around the Grand Californian. I particularly love the pool area and the rocking chairs in the lobby. It is also home to the
Napa Rose,
Hearthstone Lounge, and
GCH Craftsman Grill, which all offer delicious dining options. You're going to love it!
