I’m planning a trip to Disneyland in October for my little sister birthday and I have the two day park tickets. We will arrive before check in, will we still be able to go to the parks before check in or do we have to check in first?

Hi, Marie! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!

It is so exciting that you and your sister will be celebrating her birthday at the Happiest Place on Earth! You'll be glad to know that you can use your theme park tickets at any time, no matter if you are checked in to your hotel or not. If you are staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel, you can stop by Bell Services first to store your luggage until your room is ready. Or if you are traveling light and want to get the fun started right away, you can head directly to the parks and store your small bags in lockers outside Disneyland Park or in lockers located inside the parks.

As part of your sister's special day, you might consider booking a dinner reservation at one of the amazing restaurants at the Disneyland Resort. Blue Bayou Restaurant is always on the top of my list because I love the phenomenal food, the outdoors-indoors theming, and boats from the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction float right by where you dine. It's a lot of fun! Over in Disney California Adventure Park, you might consider booking the World of Color Dessert Party. This is the only way to get actual seats for the show and you will delight in scrumptious goodies and libations while you watch. It would definitely be a great birthday treat!

If you have any other questions about planning your upcoming trip, please stop by again!
