Hello again, Kara, and welcome back to planDisney! I adore the
Disneyland Hotel. My family just stayed there around Christmastime, and I left with so many new core memories.
Kara, there are indeed some benefits to adding theme park tickets to your Disneyland Resort hotel booking, beyond the convenience of having everything done in one transaction. When you add theme park tickets when reserving a room, your stay will be booked as a
Disneyland Resort Hotel vacation package. This comes with a collectible pin and lanyard (subject to availability), as well as a voucher redeemable during your stay for discounts at participating Downtown Disney District locations. It's like an extra sprinkling of pixie dust.
Your theme park tickets, travel itinerary, and voucher would all be delivered electronically to your linked MyDisney account three days before your arrival.
I love the nostalgic theming of the Disneyland Hotel, as well as all the modern touches. There are
activities exclusively for hotel Guests, such as movie nights, drawing sessions, and hotel tours. The Disneyland Hotel tour was really fun – I'd totally do it again. Ask the front desk for a schedule when you check in.
During your stay, spend lots of time in the
pool area. There are multiple pools and whirlpool spas, waterslides, a splash pad, a poolside bar, lounge chairs, and more to enjoy. You can also stop at Tangaroa Terrace or Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar for a bite to eat, a tasty drink, and a Dole Whip. I like to get a few Dole Whips to take back to the room for a late-night treat.
Did you also know that Disneyland Resort hotel Guests now receive
one entry to an eligible Lightning Lane Multi Pass attraction during their hotel stay? I'd choose to use it on Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!, my favorite attraction!
Kara, you are one step closer to making your trip to Disneyland Resort a reality. If you think of any other questions, you know where to find us!
Your pal,
Kriss
