I'm planning a trip to Disney with my 5, 8 and 1 yr old at the end of February, maybe early March for 3 days. i wanted to know if there's any benefits to packages around that time and what are the best parks to go to with my 5 and 8 year old boys?

    Hi Greg,

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you have an exciting trip coming up!

Whenever I want to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation reservation, my first stop is the Special Offers page on their website. There are currently some offers that may be a good fit for your family, so I would definitely check it out.

My boys are just a couple years younger than yours. We visited Walt Disney World Resort this fall and they loved all 4 theme parks. That said, if I had to narrow it down, I would recommend Magic Kingdom park and Disney's Hollywood Studios for you.

My oldest was 5-years old on our last visit and his favorite attractions were Splash Mountain, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, and Peter Pan's Flight in Magic Kingdom park. He also loved watching the Festival of Fantasy Parade and Wishes nighttime spectacular. Magic Kingdom park also has a wide variety of attractions even your 1-year old could enjoy.

At Disney's Hollywood Studios, we signed up our Star Wars fan first thing in the morning for Jedi Training Academy so he could fight Darth Vader. Other favorites included Star Tours and Toy Story Midway Mania. If your sons are thrill-seekers, they may also enjoy The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith.

You really can't go wrong no matter what you choose. Walt Disney Resort has something for everyone and that's why we love it! I hope you have a wonderful family vacation, Greg.

    Happy planning!
