Hi Kimberly,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Hopefully, you have broken out your best "I'm going to Walt Disney World" dance moves!
I have actually faced the same dilemma. I made a resort reservation, then made
advanced dining reservations, then later had to change our trip dates. When I changed the resort reservation, our advanced dining reservations did not change. This is important to note because you will have to manually cancel those dining reservations if your travel dates change to avoid any no show charges!
Be sure to double check the special offers should your travel dates change. There may be a new special offer that is applicable to the new dates. And, when you make those advanced dining reservations, be sure to consider which theme parks you plan to visit for that day. You want to be sure that you will have valid theme park admission if making dining reservations in a theme park.
Kimberly, depending on the dates you choose to visit, be sure to check out the
Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort activities.
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is worth considering if it fits your budget - it does require a separate ticket. For more information on holiday activities, keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog. Last year's post,
"The Best of the Holidays at Disney Parks Featured in New 'Inside Disney Parks" will give you an idea of what to expect!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
