I'm planning my trip to Disney World for the first week of December, and was wondering if there is any historical data that suggests which day of the week is the lowest crowd level for each park so I can plan when to go where.

    Hi Ilene!

Thanks for your question. We're not privy to any historical data in terms of weekly crowd levels at Walt Disney World theme parks. What I can say, as someone whose family makes trips to Disney World in the month of December probably more so than any other, the crowd levels varies widely. There have been years we've visited the parks in December expecting max capacity, and being pleasantly surprised the crowd levels were lower than expected. And then there were weeks we thought we would have "free rein" in the parks (especially in the years where Florida temperatures were wintry), only to find considerably more people than we expected.

I do know that visiting Walt Disney World the first week of December is the least crowded week of the month, at least in my experience. Each week that inches closer to Christmas, however, the crowds increasingly start flooding in.

Magical wishes to you and your family on your December trip. Also, if you've never attended Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, I would certainly consider that event. Disney perfectly captures the Christmas spirit during this phenomenal event!
