Hi Bridget!
There are value seasons in which resort room rates are priced lower and you'll also find that crowds are lower, too! For 2010, the value dates remaining are 8/15-9/30 and 11/28-12/16. Following value season is regular season, which rest somewhere in between and still offers some reasonable resort rates. Those dates remaining for 2010 are 4/11-6/3 and 10/1-11/27. Weekdays (Sunday-Thursday) will also save you at least $10/night.
Value resorts such as the Pop Century and the All Star Resorts are the most budget friendly way to stay at Walt Disney World Resort. They are well themed, offer free transportation to the Disney parks, and give you the added benefit of Extra Magic Hours! You'll also find pools, a quick/counter service dining location, gift shop and arcade, and friendly cast members same as you would expect at a Disney theme park.
Magic Your Way base tickets are the starting point in tickets price wise, and from there you can easily add on options. Adding the Park Hopper option will cost about $52 plus tax, though price is subject to change. The Park Hopper option allows you to visit more than one park in one day.
I always check to see if there are any available discounts or special offers on tickets or resort rooms just before booking. You can do the same by checking on the Disney
Special Offers page or by calling Disney Reservations. Being flexible with your travel dates is a huge plus!
Hope this helps!
