I'm planning a trip to Disney and I was excited to get tickets to MNSSHP. But I was wondering, if i have a Magic Kingdom ticket and I want to stay to the MNSSHP, do i have pay for a whole new ticket or do I only have to pay extra to stay? Thank you

Hola, Carlos and welcome to planDisney. I’m so glad you stop by to talk about the hauntingly happy happenings that will take place this fall at Magic Kingdom Park.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is the most spook-tacular event that usually takes place from August through October. What an adventure to dress up and trick-or-treat around Magic Kingdom Park, surrounded by glowing pumpkins and entertained by the fabulous parade, while surrounded by silly spirits and grim grinning ghosts. One year we dressed as Toy Story characters, another as Avengers, and yet another as Star Wars characters. I was a daunting Darth Vader that year.

When you spend the day at Magic Kingdom Park and then attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party you will have to purchase both an admission ticket (or have a ticket as part of your Disney Vacation Package) and a party ticket. If you want to seamlessly stay in the park as the day transforms into glowing pumpkins and eerie dance parties, then head to the front of Magic Kingdom Park. A Cast Member will scan your modes of entry such as a valid admission card, MagicBand, MagicBand+, or your Disney MagicMobile pass. Afterward, you will be given a party bracelet so Cast Members can identify you as a party guest.

In the past, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Guests were able to enter Magic Kingdom Park at 4:00 PM without having to have a theme park day ticket. So you could enjoy the day at your Resort hotel pool, shop and play at Disney Springs, catch some waves at Disney Water Parks and then arrive at the party at 4:00 PM.

planDisney pro tip: Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade is my absolute favorite. You want to get a good position at the junction of Frontierland and Liberty Square. My favorite spots are just in front of the short brick wall in front of The Hall of Presidents in Liberty Square and on the elevated wooden walkway in front of Frontier Trading Post or Country Bear Jamboree. The Headless Horseman slows his ride to make the turn in front of The Hall of Presidents as it gallops towards Cinderella Castle. This is a prime spot for video and photos.

Carlos, enjoy many ghoulishly delightful and Magical Memories.
