    I'm planning a trip Dec 12th-17th and i'm dying to know when the winter specials will be announced so I can book it? What is the likely hood of a free meal plan? I've already gotten a great deal on airfare so my dates are fixed. THANKS!!

    Hi there Stacy,

    Mid December is actually one of my favorite times to visit Walt Disney World.  The temperatures have cooled off, the crowds are usually pretty low, and the beautiful Holiday decorations adorn the parks and resorts.  Disney World is truly a Winter Wonderland this time of you so you've really chosen an ideal time to visit.

    Winter deals are usually announced in late summer, so I'd begin checking in August.  last year, it seems like I remember they were announced later in the month, so if you don't see them right away, keep checking.  As far as Free Dining is concerned, there's no real rhyme or reason as to when or if this popular promotion will be offered so keep those fingers crossed until late summer when the promotions are announced.

    Have you already locked in those travel dates, Stacy?  If not, I encourage you to go ahead and do so now.  You can reserve your desired dates with a small deposit and if a special offer is announced later, you can modify your existing reservation to take advantage of that deal at a later time with no penalty!
