I'm planning a trip for my daughter and I for sometime in 2012. However, I'm not sure where we should stay. I'm a single mom and price is somewhat important, but so is location. Has anyone ever stayed at the All-Star Resorts? Thanks!

    Hi Christina!

I am a single parent like you and I have been going to Walt Disney World with my son for the last five years. We have had such an incredible time together on those trips and we also were able to do it economically on a limited budget. I have stayed at all the Value Resorts except for All Star Music Resort.  The Pop Century Resort is my favorite and is what I would recommend for you and your daughter.  Here is what I would suggest based on my experience:

    1. Stay at a Value Resort during the Value Season (we normally go at the end of August or early September) Pop Century or the All Star Resorts (Sports, Movies, or Music)

    2. Take advantage of the free dining package if it is offered again because this gets you two paid for meals each day (historically it has been offered at the end of August to the end of September)

    3. Bring or purchase breakfast food to eat in your room before heading to the Parks

    4. Drive to Walt Disney World if you live close enough (gas is less expensive than plane tickets)

    5. If you choose to fly utilize Disney's Magical Express to get from the airport to your Resort and then use Disney Transportation to get to the Parks

    6. Use a Disney certified Travel Agent to help you get the best deals

I hope that you have magical Walt Disney World vacation with your daughter!
