I'm planning a trip with my daughter just before she turns three as I know she's still free at that age. Do you need to bring a birth certificate or proof of age for a child to get them in free?

    Hi Stephanie!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Your two year old is going to have the most magical time at the Disneyland Resort. We took my son at this age, and it was amazing to see his mind process the music, Characters, attractions, and entertainment from his unique point of view. I'm happy to inform you that you will not need proof of your daughter's age when entering the gate of either park upon arrival. Just let the Cast Member know your child is two if they ask when scanning your ticket.

Keep in mind that your child will be able to ride any Disneyland Resort attraction that does not have a height requirement. It's amazing just how many attractions little ones can experience at this age. If she is a bit taller there are also a few attractions with a 32" height requirement such as Autopia in Disneyland Park or Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters and Mater's Junkyard Jamboree in Disney California Adventure Park that she can experience. If she's a little taller still, she may even get to ride her very first Disneyland roller coaster with a 35" height requirement: Gadget's Go Coaster in Mickey's Toontown.

As your child's language skills are developing, it's a great time to take pictures and video of your daughter interacting with her favorite Characters. I couldn't believe the funny questions my son asked them, and the memories I will cherish from those experiences. Make sure you download the Disneyland app so you can see where and when Disney Characters will be meeting Guests around each park.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop by again. Have a magical day!
