I’m planning a trip for Aug 24, 09-Aug 29, 09 would the weather be fine? It would just be me and my daughter (Age 4). I would love to enjoy a nice spa, for about 2 hrs. Does the AS Movie Resort provide a babysitter?

    Hi LaKeithia!

A girl's only trip to Walt Disney World sounds just fabulous!  As you may have imagined, August  is really hot.  On the bright side, most all schools have already resumed and you should find the crowds won't be as bad.

You have already found one of my favorite ways to beat the heat - hit the spa!  The Grand Floridian Resort has a beautiful spa where you can receive one of their signature citrus-zest facials.  Also on Disney property, the Mandara Spa at the WDW Dolphin has everything from seaweed wraps to teeth whitening.  Finally, the newest of the spas at Disney World is the Saratoga Springs Spa.  Many other spa services are offered at hotels located throughout WDW.

While the All Star Movies Resort does not offer child-care services, you have many options.  WDW has many awesome child-care centers that are available to Disney guests that are at least four years old.  One of our favorites is The Neverland Club at Disney's Polynesian Resort.  If you would prefer to have a babysitter stay with your daughter in your hotel room, Kids Nite Out and All About Kids have both been highly recommended by other guests.   I know that the two of you will have a magical time!

    Much pixie dust,
