Howdy, Karla! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I am so excited that you will be visiting the Disneyland Resort during the Holidays! The parks will be brimming with glorious holiday décor and heaps of good cheer. The
“Believe…in Holiday Magic” fireworks are a magnificent way to end a day in the parks, especially when “snow” starts to fall over portions of Main Street, U.S.A.
For the safety of all Guests, certain attractions close to accommodate the fireworks. These are mostly the attractions in Fantasyland located near Sleeping Beauty Castle like King Arthur Carrousel, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Peter Pan’s Flight, Alice in Wonderland, Storybook Land Canal Boats, and a few others. Additionally, in certain wind conditions, “it’s a small world” may close while the fireworks are being presented. Finally, the Disneyland Monorail also closes during the fireworks so plan accordingly if you were planning to exit the park on the monorail at night. All of the attractions that close to accommodate the fireworks reopen about 20 to 30 minutes after the show has concluded.
Attractions are not generally impacted during parades, but navigating the park can be a little difficult as some major thoroughfares roped off. If you need to cross the parade route, look for certain breaks in the ropes where Cast Members are stationed. During specific points in the parade, they will allow Guests to cross the route.
Fantasmic! also does not cause any attraction closures as the Mark Twain Riverboat and the Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island always close around dusk.
I hope this information was useful. Have a fantastic time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
