Hi Lisa,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I tell all my friends their child's first visit to Walt Disney World Resort should be when they are 2 years old. Once your child is 3 years old they require a theme park ticket. Likewise, if you choose to use a
Disney Dining Plan, you will have to purchase one for your child when they are 3 years old. Since your child is under 3 years old, there is no additional charge for them to join you in experiencing the
Fantasmic! Dining Package. How fun to end a day at Disney's Hollywood Studios with reserved seating for Fantasmic!
I also think 2 years old is a great age to visit Walt Disney World Resort because our little ones help us see the magic around us. I absolutely love the wonder and delight of a child when they visit the parks. You might want to check out this guide to
Planning with Preschool Kids and Little Ones. You should check out the locations of
Baby Care Centers in the parks, too. The Baby Care Centers have fantastic changing areas, a small kitchen area with a microwave, a feeding area with high chairs, and quiet rooms to take a break.
Lisa, thank you for visiting us with your question. I hope you'll let us know if we can help you with any other planning questions!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Amy H.
