I’m planning on traveling on December 29 to magic kingdom. If we buy regular park tickets, by what time do we need to exit the park? Would we be able to see any lights and fireworks ?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Marianne ~

There is nothing like celebrating the holidays at the Magic Kingdom and I'm super excited for you! I checked the online calendar for the Magic Kingdom for December 29, 2017. It currently shows that the park will be open for all Guests from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m. Guests who are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel can take advantage of morning Extra Magic Hours from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. If you are not staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you can enter the Magic Kingdom starting at 8:00 a.m. and can stay until 12:00 a.m.

You will absolutely be able to see all of the holiday decorations including Cinderella Castle draped in thousands of twinkling lights. It is beyond breathtaking! Be sure to catch Elsa and Anna as they light up Cinderella Castle in "A Frozen Holiday Wish" at 6:15 p.m.

My new favorite fireworks spectacular, Happily Ever After, is scheduled at 9:00 p.m. and Once Upon A Time is scheduled for 10:00 p.m. that evening. Be sure to pick up a printed Times Guide as you enter the Magic Kingdom to confirm the entertainment schedules. You can also find the schedules on the My Disney Experience mobile app.

It is likely to be crowded that day so I would plan to arrive super early. Eat lunch and dinner a little earlier to try to avoid some of the crowds during peak dining times.
