    I'm planning to travel to WDW for Marathon Weekend. When will I be able to book a package for these dates? Registration is open Apr. 26, but I see no information on the runDisney site. I just worry that rooms will be sold out!

    Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

    This has been very confusing for a lot of people. The 2017 room rates have not been released (as of right now) by Disney, so it has put a delay on booking rooms for the Walt Disney World Marathon weekend. I just spoke with a runDisney travel representative and she suggested that booking rooms would open up when race registration opens. 

    I don't think you need to worry about rooms being sold out anytime soon, but if you have your heart set on a certain resort, I suggest you call 407-WDW-IRUN (407-939-4786) and ask them when your window to book will open.  You can also book on the Walt Disney World website just as soon as they open the 2017 booking window.  

    As an added tip, I always watch the Special Offers page on the Disney website.  There is often an offer that spans marathon weekend. If I already have a reservation, I can either apply that offer to my existing reservation or make a new one and cancel the old.  Special offers won't be out until the fall for that weekend, but it's worth it to watch.
