Howdy, Yvonne! Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel and asking your question!
I am delighted to know that you will be bringing your little one to the Disneyland Resort soon! My daughter's first trip was when she was around 2 years old and I have such fond memories of her riding her first attractions and giving hugs to Minnie and Donald. You will be pleased to know that you can absolutely bring in your own food for your son to eat. If you need to bring along a cooler, you can store it one of the many
lockers available to rent.
You should also be aware, though, that the Disneyland Resort is extremely attuned to the
special dietary needs of their Guests. They offer allergy-friendly menus at quick-service and table-service restaurants that clearly denote which foods are safe to eat for those with certain food allergies. Furthermore, a chef or a specially-trained Cast Member can speak to you directly about what foods on the menu your son can enjoy and which ones he should avoid. You can even get the conversation started before your trip by contacting
Special.Diets@disneyland.com once you have made any dining reservations. Speaking of dining reservations, when you make them advance, you can provide a list of food allergies so the restaurant will be alerted to your needs when you arrive.
With such a wide variety of food options and resources, I know you and your son will have a great time eating your way through the parks!
